A couple of free plugin alerts
Hi All! Dana – I hope this is the right place to post this. Just wanted to tip ya’ll off to a couple of nice freebees. The first is from Wavesfactory, “SK10 Subkick Simulator” Larry Crane from TapeOp mag just posted about it. https://www.wavesfactory.com/free-audio-plugins/sk10/ I just tried it out, and it adds instant oomph/girth to your kick. They also have a really nice transient shaper, “Flash”, in the free section. I’ve used Flash to pretty dramatically reshape some sounds.
The second is “Lofi Oddity” https://aberrantdsp.com It’s the free version that Finneas used on Billie E’s track, “What Was I Made For?”. Here’s the article: https://www.musicradar.com/news/finneas-logic-pro-sketchcassette-billie-eilish I just used this on on a track with automation to disintegrate a pad as a transition.
