Very cool Jesse, super unique and really brings me to a place. Wyoming winter to be exact, gazing at the Teton mountain range, panoramic views and the snow falling. I envision this in a snowboarding film!

I do concur with what the gents are saying about adding some sparkle to the vocal bus. Also some different qualities to the end vocal such as fx + delays could take up the listening experience. I was secretly wanting another belting layer vocal tucked way back in the mix for the last chorus build. Maybe too much but I’m an XL fry kinda guy lol.

Just some thoughts but really beautiful man. Keep sharing these!!!!

Wow, WOW, wOw, woW, absolutely beautiful. Amazing work @Nate and to your fellow collaborator. The emotion in this piece is incredible. I’m going to listen to this tonight at least 3 more times! I personally like that vocal where it is cause it does make you want to just crank the track. It’s so spacious, atmospheric and very pretty. I can’t wait to get this ep cause I’m going to bump that baby till the world ends. You should be very proud of what you guys are creating.

I know I’m late to hearing this but I had to write something cause hot damnnnnnnn!

Smash haha! Stay safe and warm out there. Just wet and windy in the islands.

Might need to submit this to the weather channel. They could use more spice

    Paul,

Love it!!! Thanks for really getting in there and passing it through ozone. I love that plug-in and concur with some of those touches for sureeeee. I found with re-setting some of those initial input sounds it cleared a lot of space and clarity. There’s this distortion in the vocals that I’m tryin to figure out with some of the bass frequencies as well.

Got a newer mix coming soon that solves some of these issues mentioned. Very much appreciate, the thought, time, critque and listen Paul!!! Taking notes from the crew, my hand is tired haha.

Haha Paul, love that line. Glad you dug the stab orchestral part was just tryin to switch it up.

Yes a beautiful island indeed. The people, culture, weather, music, food, and ocean is a trip. Glad you got to dip your toes in the mana that surrounds these amazing lava rocks. Lots to be seen!

    Stuart,

Thanks for the input and listen!!! I very much agree and am implementing these options. I just switched up the main key from all the panning nightmares lol and it sounds a lot better already!

Appreciate you taking the time with this. Sending a newer version ASAP!

    Jesse,

Thanks so much for listening!! I really appreciate the feedback and great points with the bass fill + more chorus (as I’ve been debating). This is aiming for an ad campaign so I wanted to keep it short and sweet. Much love for the suggestions and elephant ear!! I will keep y’all posted on the next mix ASAP.

@dana Thanks so much for this in-depth reply wow!!! You really broke this baby down. I am grateful to you and that LA-2A comparison makes a lot of sense. I think when I get the chance down the road I will look for the outboard version cause it sounds badass. I’m glad all the other in-box plug-ins you mentioned I got so I feel I’m close enough and feel good about the tones I’ve gotten. 25% Danish that’s cool man, I’ve got some in me too but unsure to what piece of the danish pie haha.

Yes I would follow @dana advice and tune into my guy @roy-matz “Sync Gems” as a great educational tool. I tune into his mastermind weekly and talk shop with cats in the space and learn a TON. I have been in the space for about a year and some change to very little success yet but optimistic. “Control Camp” with Eric Campbell has a lot of good free info too. In a small little nut shell it’s getting your tracks to libraries or publishing companies that work with the Netflix’s, Hulu’s, HBO’s, NBC’s, ad companies, big brands, ect and syncing it to picture. It’s a big wide open space that can be lucrative for YOUR music over time. No detective but that’s a quick gist.
