Recorded this last week. Still not done. I will take off a little verb on the vocal. Maybe add some more compression on the guitar. I like how the guitar sounds but it sounds so open. I don’t know if thats a good thing. Enjoy.

Thanks. I actually preferred the Neumann the most. Then probably the avantone. I do like the top end of the mojave but the mic sounded dry to me, not really sure how to describe it, just a little less lively.

Hi, I think I finished producing my song. Drums could be a little tighter but tried my best. Wanted to get some feedback on the mix. Doesn’t sound as full as I’d like, but usually doesn’t. Also used the little labs ibp phase tool. Just put it it on one of the tracks. didn’t make sense to put it on both tracks…but maybe. any tips for that tool would be appreciated thanks.

Thanks, I have ozone imager. Guess I don’t know how to use it. Mid side is an unexplored technique for me. I don’t know which frequencies should be mono or stereo and then compressed. Need @dana to make a video on that

looking for any production ideas or which version you like better

i like the vocals mostly. i like the fingerpicked guitar. i don’t really like the chorus strumming guitar. might try a piano idea in the chorus instead. also the lead guitar line after the first chorus is intentional. it was my demo take but i like it. thanks.

UAD apollo. I used two tlm 102’s. I don’t think I had any processing going into the daw.

Thanks for the feedback. This was my first time mic’ing an upright piano or any piano. Basically put them on the left and right corners and turned the mics down really low because the piano was so loud. I will check the lows and add some 10k too. Thanks. I’m hoping to add more songs too.
