That’s amazing! I have to admit, I felt a bit guilty after asking that, because I know how busy you are, and how precious your free time is. I’m so glad you responded with, “That’s a great idea!”. I look forward to that – (absolutely no rush – like sometime this year :). In the meantime, i’ll check out the vid. You’re the best.

I’m not quite sure yet. All of the “New” features I can already do in Logic (Stem Sep/Midi Mute & Split/bounce in place/audible note preview/Monark, Massive, Prism – I’ve had for years). And I agree – of the reviews i’ve read are all Underwhelming. The included Ozone Mastering Software I have (v9), but stopped using it because of the CPU hit. Logic has that now, and I’m happy with it.

That being said I may just say wtf and get it for the new Central Library😄 I’m a sucker for NI updates!

Jumping in late to the party!

Wanted to chime in with an alternative (to the small speaker technique) that I’ve found, kind of out of necessity – SoundID Reference from Sonarworks.

I’m using it as a plugin on my master as the last in the chain, in Logic, with a profile/preset specifically for my Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80OHM headphones, to give me a flat response.

About 5 years ago, I noticed some hearing loss in my mids & Highs (basically, speech!), so I got tested, and have been using hearing aids ever since.

I was really chasing my tail, trying to get a mix that transferred on multiple systems, so I decided to go the “flat headphone response”, and cut out the environment. It’s really been a game changer for me, and I have a lot more confidence, and trust in what I’m doing.
