Thank you all for the feedback. This is a friend’s song that I helped record and mix. I’m glad you liked it. There’s actually part two that I’m working on now. It’s like a 3 part 15 minute song so this was just the first part. I’ve tried a lot of different approaches, but the biggest changes I’ve made to this mix has been my routing, and my clip gain and volume automation before any eq or compression. I saw Dana do this when he mixed that one song a while ago. I will send the whole song once it’s finished.

Thanks. I actually preferred the Neumann the most. Then probably the avantone. I do like the top end of the mojave but the mic sounded dry to me, not really sure how to describe it, just a little less lively.

Thanks, Dana. Do you have specific moment that feel lose? I tried my best to get everything lined up, but sometimes when you make one change, another feels too quick or too slow.

Anything sonically you would change? It still doesn’t have the presence and clarity of a pro mix. I guess that’s why they are pros… I love how the song, meet the moonlight, sounds. If I could get anything close to that I would be happy. Thanks.
