🎚️ Full mixing process in realtime

Pop some 🍿 (or some 🍾) and hang with me as I mix a full song, start to finish, by bassist/composer extraordinaire, Ike Sturm, who joins in live for much of the session remotely from his NY studio. Airplay and Chromecast are enabled, so get comfy on the couch and beam this baby up on the big screen in style this weekend!

💻 First-ever Member Meet-up!

What an incredible time on our first-ever Zoom meet-up! It was such a treat to learn more about each of our fabulous community members, and I look forward to more of these in the future. Weren’t able to make the meet-up? No problem – log in and head over to the new Replays sub-forum within the Member Spotlight!

🫨 “Silent Killer” Stank face

Silent Killer - Alex Gage mix - Dana ideas

Alex Gage brought his “Silent Killer” mix to the Member Spotlight seeking low-end mix help. SPOILER ALERT: his mix was already really great, inspiring the “head bobbin’ stank face” you’ll see in my video response. I offered Alex some ideas on how he might try console emulations to create more hype, urgency and punch in his low-end and already-excellent mix. Check it out!

🤑 2 Free Plug-ins!

Thanks, Stuart Roholt, for the great tip about 2 excellent FREE plug-ins from 2 very cool companies!! I’ve already downloaded and started using them myself. Download links, articles and more info in Stuart’s forum post. 🙌⚡️

👋 Say hi to our new members!

I’m not gonna lie … I get positively giddy when new folks find our fun little corner of the internet here at Mix Protégé and decide for themselves: “these are my peeps; I want IN!”

We’re all thrilled you’re here and hope you’ll make yourselves at home, NOËL ILL, Ron Irizarry, Tristan Copelan, and Alex Oana!! If you haven’t done so already, be sure to complete your user profile so we can get to know ya better!
