Come hang? Free mixing/recording Q&A this Friday 👀

Hey Reader!

Quick heads up: I’m hosting a free, super-casual Home Studio Q&A this Friday at 11am Pacific, and I’d love for you to join me.

No sales pitch. Just a fun hang with a bunch of music-makers.

If we haven’t connected in a while — hi! I’m Dana, a Grammy-nominated mixer/producer who loves helping home-studio musicians level-up. I’ve worked with artists like Bob Dylan, Justin Bieber, and The Avett Brothers, and I get a TON of questions about how to make great-sounding records from a spare bedroom or small project studio.

So this Friday, bring your trickiest questions and I’ll troubleshoot them live.

Room acoustics?
Vocal chain?
Why your mix won’t “pop”?
How to choose the right monitors for your budget?
How to deal with low-end on small speakers?

Whatever you’ve been wrestling with — bring it.

You don’t need to be a Mix Protégé member to join.

Drop-ins totally welcome… and it’s fine if you can’t stay the whole time.

What to expect

  • A friendly, laid-back Zoom hang
  • Live answers to your mixing/recording questions
  • Real talk about gear, workflow, and home-studio upgrades
  • Stories from the studio (and probably a few laughs)
  • A supportive group of producers, mixers & musicians

Whether you’re recording vocals in a closet, building your first mix template, or trying to get your songs to jump out of the speakers — this hour is for you.

Can’t wait to see you Friday!

P.S. Can’t make it live? RSVP anyway — I’ll send you the replay.
